ANTI-AGING : our fairies answer your questions!

Our little fairies answer your questions about the skin's ageing process and anti-ageing care.

1/ When can you start anti-ageing ?

There are no real rules, it depends on various factors such as the care you give your skin, your lifestyle and your genetic heritage. Even if it is not necessarily visible on the outside, the skin's ageing process starts to take place around the age of 20. It is therefore important to learn how to preserve your youthfulness with simple gestures and the use of adapted skin care products, and this, from the age of 20, if you wish, because as the expression goes, "prevention is better than cure".

2/ Can I use any type of anti-ageing care ?

You can indeed use anti-ageing skin care products on a regular basis, but the ideal is to use the right products at the right time. Indeed, the needs and problems encountered are not the same for a 20, 40 or 60 year old skin.

At 20, prevent to preserve! To do this, remember to cleanse and remove make-up from your skin daily, moisturise and above all, defend your skin from external aggressions such as the sun or pollution by using preventive skin care.

At the age of 30, the first signs of aging appear. Although not always noticeable to the naked eye, the loss of firmness and tone of the skin can be felt. The eye area is usually the first place to be affected. Don't panic.
Choose first wrinkle creams and an eye contour that will help you fight against the loss of elasticity and radiance.

At the age of 40 and 50, the problems are relatively the same: wrinkles appear and deepen, the skin slackens and pigmentation spots may appear. It is usually at this age, when the signs of ageing become difficult to hide, that women start to want to use adapted routines, but let's face it: taking care of your skin is a daily job that starts at a young age!

3/ Is there anything I can do to delay the signs of ageing ?

Although we are not all equal when it comes to nature, there are some tips and tricks we can incorporate into our beauty routine to keep our skin as healthy as possible :

1/ Make-up removal and skin cleansing

We can never say it enough, but a good make-up removal, accompanied by a meticulous cleaning of your skin on a daily basis is the guarantee of a beautiful skin. They allow you to eliminate dead cells, unclog pores and rid the skin of dust and pollution. In short, so many factors that suffocate the skin and have a role in its premature ageing.

2/ Sun protection

Regardless of the weather and the temperature outside, SPF is a real anti-ageing ally. Indeed, UV rays and pollution hasten skin ageing. It is therefore essential to protect your skin with a sun cream, a BB cream or a foundation containing a protection factor.

3/ The right gestures

When applying our cosmetics, we tend to apply our creams from the top down. This is a mistake! By doing this, we are pushing the collagen in our tissues downwards and stretching it outwards. To do this properly, remember to apply your skincare products in an upward motion, from the outside to the centre of the face. In the process, you can give yourself a little massage with your fingertips to stimulate collagen production!

4/ Moisturising

Our body loses an average of 2.5 litres of water per day, so it is necessary to compensate for this loss and avoid dehydration by drinking regularly. Take advantage of this to fill up on vitamins or eliminate toxins by drinking smoothies or green tea, which are very good antioxidants.

5/ Nutrition

"Tell me what you eat and I'll tell you who you are! Food plays an essential role in the beauty of our skin, which is why it is so important that it is e-qui-li-bearing! Choose foods rich in Vitamin C, carotenoids and Omega 3 such as carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, melon, apricots etc. These foods are highly antioxidant and act as "natural shields" for the body, helping to protect it from free radicals
